Our Veterinary Assistants must be ready to:

Responsibilities:

  • Sterilize equipment and clean examination tables and rooms
  • Assisting Veterinary Technicians and DVMs with their procedures, including but not limited to, restraining for radiographs, venipuncture, grooming and vaccine administration
  • Assist Veterinary Technicians in preparing animals for surgery, learning to set up for surgery, sterilizing surgical packs, etc.
  • Helping to appropriately clean and adhere to necessary cleaning protocols to prevent the transmission of diseases
  • Participate in dispensing and labeling of pharmaceuticals
