Katherine is a born and bred Michigander and 2014 graduate of Michigan State University. She grew up in the southeastern side of Michigan which is also where she happily resides now. One of the features of veterinary medicine that she loves is the diversity of the field itself. This allows her to enjoy a wide variety of challenging cases on a daily basis. She particularly enjoys demanding surgical cases but also has a strong interest in treating exotic animals that are kept as pets. When she is not helping her patients at work, she and her husband Trevor like to spend time outdoors enjoying the Michigan seasons on thier hobby farm. Some of their favorite pastimes include horseback-riding, gardening and beekeeping. Their pets include their cat Sydney, their horses, Silkie bantam chickens and, of course, her honeybees.
